Smiles English Kids is an international children’s centre offering a full English immersion environment for young children in the Poblenou neighbourhood.
Our approach is inspired by well-known early childhood perspectives, including Montessori principles, as well as ideas drawn from Scandinavian early years environments. At Smiles we create a warm and stimulating space where children can explore, communicate and grow through play, interaction and meaningful experiences in English.
Our passion is to support every child as an individual, encouraging curiosity, creativity, kindness and confidence. In our English-speaking environment, children naturally develop social, emotional and language skills while enjoying their early years.
We offer a full English immersion environment where the day-to-day activities take place entirely in English. Children are naturally exposed to the language through play, interaction and shared experiences.
Our activities are guided by bilingual educators who support children as they explore, communicate and grow in an English-speaking environment.
Inspired by different perspectives such as Montessori and Waldorf, we place special emphasis on emotional development, curiosity and critical thinking through play, exploration and shared activities.

We encourage children to care for nature and develop awareness of the environment. We reuse and recycle materials in many of our activities and offer a healthy, balanced menu.
Instead of traditional classrooms, we create open and flexible spaces inspired by nature. These environments encourage exploration, creativity and interaction through a wide variety of activities and experiences.
Playgrounds, pine forests and the beach are just some of the nearby places where children enjoy regular contact with nature and the surrounding environment.

We take a thoughtful approach to technology, seeking the right balance between digital tools and traditional materials, while making the most of the benefits that both can offer.
Every child has unique interests and needs. For this reason, we work with small groups that allow us to provide close attention and support each child’s development in a warm and caring environment.
Our open-door policy encourages close communication with families, allowing direct contact with educators and regular updates about children’s daily experiences.
